Start clearing your schedule and planning a trip to Vermont because Killington Resort’s Loaded Turkey Rail Jam is less than ten days away. The annual event is going down on Sunday November 23, 2014 just in time for American Thanksgiving and is open to snowboarders and skiers. The first place winner will receive a Frozen Turkey, while the 2nd place, 3rd place and Grom winners will receive the side dishes needed to complete a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

REGISTRATION
-Registration is now open for skiers and snowboarders. You can register online here.
-The entry fee is $20 and pre-registration is recommended
-Competitors are required to have a season pass/lift ticket in order to compete.
-Discounted $30 lift tickets will be available for competitors to purchase at check-in.

-All participants of the Loaded Turkey Rail Jam must fill out an Express Assumption of Risk form which can be found here.
-If you are under 18, a  parent/guardian will need to sign your form.

RULES
Each participant must wear a helmet during the event practice/inspection and competition.

EVENT SCHEDULE
9:00 am – 10:00 am: Registration / Check In, K1 Lodge, 3rd Floor
10:00 am – 10:45 am: Practice, All Divisions  
10:45 am:  Athlete Meeting, Top of Venue
11:00 am – 2:15 pm: Competition, All Divisions   
2:45 pm: Awards, Bottom of Venue

FORMAT
-Qualifiers and Finals will be held in an open jam format allowing competitors to hike the course and take as many runs as they like.
-Qualifiers will be held in two sessions: Open Skiers and Open Snowboarders.
-Judges will select the top skiers and snowboards to advance to the finals and compete.
-Finals will follow the same format as qualifiers: Open Skiers and Open Snowboarders.
