Toronto, ON – SBC Media announces today the addition of two snowboarding veterans to lead its flagship title – Snowboard Canada Magazine. Long-time snowboard journalist Adam Levitt joins as Editor/Digital Editor, and award winning photographer Chad Chomlack will be the new Photo Editor/Associate Digital Editor.

“Adam and Chad share a lifelong passion for snowboarding and the lifestyle surrounding it. Their deep understanding of the sport will allow them to connect with our audience and fulfill the industry’s demand for exclusive snowboard content. With Adam’s experience in print and digital media, and Chad’s proven track record in photography, they make an ideal team to take Snowboard Canada into its next phase. I’m extremely excited to have them on board” — Mike Hartman, Publisher

The addition of Adam Levitt brings over 25 years of experience in action sports and media. It’s because of this passion and expertise SBC Media is proud to announce his return to the team. As a former employee of SBC Media. Adam spent 15 years with the company as the Editor of SBC Wakeboard, SBC Resort Guide, and as Photo Editor of Snowboard Canada Magazine and SBC Women’s Annual, before moving onto the role of Social Media Editor/Staff Photographer for Whistler-based brand Sandboxland.

New Snowboard Canada Photo Editor Chad Chomlack said, “I would say one of the factors of my decision to join the SBC team was to have the opportunity to work alongside this man. Adam brings 25+ years of experience within the snowboard world and has generated deep respect. On a personal level I’ve had the chance to shred alongside my friend, crushing pow laps in Whistler for the last 10 years and, with that, having his ‘pow/shit eating grin’ burnt into my brain over and over. Well folks, trust me; SBC is in good hands with him as Editor. Adam brings all the talent, creativity, and passion that anyone could to his new role as editor and I can’t wait to see Canadian riders expand and ‘be seen’ with Adam at the helm. He is sure to guide us into all things rad about our wonderful sport.”

Chad Chomlack brings with him over 15 years of groundbreaking snowboard photography experience. He’s worked with many of the biggest brands in and outside of snowboarding including Volcom, Vans, Oakley, K2, Billabong, YES, Red Bull, Smith Optics, Beats by Dr. Dre, and Burton documenting the sport and the athletes within it as it’s evolved to where it is now.

Snowboard Canada Editor Adam Levitt says of Chad, “In a relatively short amount of time, Chad has become one of the most respected and sought-after photographers in the snowboard industry. His client list includes the biggest brands in the business and his hard-working yet laid back, easy-going attitude allows him to fit in and bond with all of the riders he shoots with. Chad grew up in the golden era of snowboarding, cutting laps with many Pacific Northwest legends. Chad’s love and deep history in the sport of snowboarding has allowed him to document our sport in its purest form. His images portray a deep respect for the riders, our culture and the nature we all play in. I’m excited to see what Chad brings to the role of Photo Editor and I’m stoked that I get to work alongside him in this new era of Snowboard Canada.”

Former Snowboard Canada Editor David MacKinnon will stay on with Snowboard Canada in the role of Senior Writer. As a dedicated outdoor enthusiast, David’s passion has always been about the backcountry and showcasing it through his storytelling. We are excited to see what his next adventures bring to the pages of Snowboard Canada.

Editing Snowboard Canada, especially through its relaunch, was the best professional adventure I can imagine. The stories and friendships I found in the Canadian snowboarding community will stick with me for life; Adam and Chad are the best guys I can think of to tell those stories moving forward. Working with them as Senior Writer is a dream for a mountain junkie like myself.” —David MacKinnon
