Travis Rice has been at the edge of jumping progression for over a decade. Accomplishments like the Superpark Rodeo that landed him a slot on Absinthe’s roster and his 2004 Chad’s Gap session with Romain De Marchi are now well in the rearview, and have since had to pass the spotlight to mind benders like the supermans of The Community Project, the rewinds of That’s It That’s All, and the Tordillo gaps of The Art of Flight. We’re psyched on “Day 723,” the new tease from Red Bull Media House that has Travis reflecting on his years of exploration and progression. His take on interpreting mountains in terms of geological oddities is something we relate to, and we’re beyond stoked to see him skinning up with Guch, who’s legendary flow and 20-year-old-knees are sure to add a huge amount of personality to Travis’ latest project, “The Fourth Phase.” Here’s the official word from Red Bull:
The innovators behind the “The Art of FLIGHT,” Red Bull Media House in association with Brain Farm, are in the field wrapping up the final season of filming for iconic snowboarder Travis Rice’s highly-anticipated return in “The Fourth Phase.” In this video marking Day 723 of production, a follow-up to Day 1, Rice and Bryan Iguchi look back on the landmark features from past films, while scouting for a brand new zone where snowboarding will again progress to previously unimaginable heights.
