After 33 years, the Mt Baker Legendary Baker Banked Slalom shows no signs of slowing down. Once again, some of the best snowboarders in the world across multiple generations descended upon Mt Baker to stay low, be powerful, and share the stoke. The contest brings fierce competition, but also strong comradery. Seeing grown men cry (read: JF) as their daughters take to the podium with mile-wide smiles and human-sized bags of loot, while receiving standing ovations from a lodge full of lifelong shredheads, it’s safe to say snowboarding is in a good place. Whether in the hospitality tent, the start shack, or the awards ceremony, the good vibes were palpable, and the race was truly legendary.
