DIYX Makes it return to the Medieval Nordic city centre of Stockholm. After 10 years since FrontLine Rail Jam reeked havoc on the Steps of Norrmalm Ethan Morgan with his crew Chris-O (Mcalpine) ‘The Boss’, Kristiin Häkkinen (Event organizer) and Jacco Bos master builder and crew chief so DIYX could pay homage to its predecessors.
In Typical DIYX fashion, the list of riders was as long as it was heavy. Anticipation always starts from as soon as the last crazy event finishes but seeing the rider list grow post by post, seeing our favourite and biggest names in the snowboarding world gets us even more hyped.
This year sprinkled in a few Canadians to the mix, including adopted Dannish Maria Thomsen. Making the long haul journey was Truth Smith, Darcy Sharpe and Cody Yarosloski. Cody’s first time out of North America and ready for an insiders view to how the scene out in Europe looks for riding and partying was about to begin.
Loaded with darts and Swedish dip the Riders took to both spots warming up before the real warming up happened with DIYX tradition of setting shit on fire. Crowds of people with a mix of local rippers waiting to see their favourite pro, general public looking on to wonder what the hell is going on. Every vantage point watching mayhem unfold as the Bataleon Snowboard’s Challenge Rail took the lives of many boards before the inferno had been lit.
“Everyday was full on madness, boarding, partying, more boarding, more partying, go go go The only food deposited into the stomach was maxs burgers and Swedish meat balls ha. Thanks Ethan and everyone involved for an Incredible couple days”
Truth Smith
The weekend was huge, the parties and movie premieres even bigger and we’re grateful for the DIYX crew working hard to gather snow so we could start the season off with a bang!
Thanks for having us Ethan, Chris-O, Kristiin, Jacco and the crew!
