For the 6th year running Krush (Kulesza) and his army of shapers have graced Canadian soil up high at Banff’s Sunshine Village resort. 13 tours from around the world curating Holy Bowly’s builds for, in my opinion;
His flowiest build yet!
Spending the last 6 years at Sunshine has given him the ability to learn the zone and see what is capable.
Whilst others had terrible snow years, Banff held it strong from early season straight through to spring with receiving a 25cm dumping prior to and an 8cm during the build right before the event was open to riders.
Snow levels aside the build had adaptations of tenjin bowls utilizing the local tree’s to enhance his creations, Volcano’s stretched (Strechcano) and un-stretched, sunk into hips and some with double love seats for unlimited options.

Not only is each feature unique and have their own method to their madness. The in-betweens that create the flow and power to keep the amplitude going is something that is unmatched with a Snowboy Build.
Krush has mastered his craft for over 25 years of Snowboy and countless of years prior, leading to the jump of starting his own events and builds many moons ago.
We’re convinced his creativity is pulled from his beard, the longer it gets the crazier the builds. Between that and his black book of magic. One of the few Black Books you want to be included in, thats for sure!
But Krush has the wisdom to know his black book drawings will remain there if it’s not for an incredible crew to help execute. His shaper crew is always next level, sought out and hand picked for each build and daily maintenance. It takes a certain type of raker to get in with the Snowboy crew. It’s not just about what they can do whilst on the tools, It’s also how they are off the tools that is important to Krush. His ethos runs deep and true to this and he seeks those who hold that to snowboarding. Those that live for the culture and the work ethic that brings people far and wide to experience riding their hard work.

With help over the years from the team at Sunshine Village, Banff. The plot nestled amongst the Canadian Rockies has become a solid home for Holy Bowly, and showcasing why Sunshine Village is now the spot for building season long and deep into the spring with other events such as this year with RedBull’s Freeze Jump and multiple freestyle events with the SSV park crew rolling suite from Krush and taking their builds to the next level to entice more high level riders in both snowboarding and skiing to the area. With this year being its 6th in Canada of the 13th Holy Bowly’s previously, we reflect with Krush on his builds.
Krush- “It’s always good to travel around and get out to different resorts, but being here for a longer period of time has meant I’ve learnt the way of the land and how this zone rolls and flow”

Some say it’s like a theme park for snowboarders, others marvel in its beauty as an artistic wonderland. A photographers day dream that comes alive when you add talented riders to the mix. The vast diverse community that Snowboy events draw adds to the mash-up of humans that see each feature in such a different way and ride it in their own style. There’s never one of the same way to hit a Snowboy feature and everyone brings their own visions which makes the events so iconic and attract snowboarders and resorts world wide to attend/host.
If you get a chance to attend, soak it in. All of it.
Thank you Krush.
