“WE’RE MAKING A MOVIE!”

Watch PAVED here on RedBull TV

It’s been a few years since the Burton team took a team trip to film an epic movie. Looking back on Fleeting Times in 2022 pioneered by Ben Ferguson it was time to wrangle the band back together and head on out to deeper pastures.
Joining elite forces with RedBull Media House to produce some of the best cinematic snowboarding with a list of riders as stacked as the powder pillows they’re riding. Heading out to Japan’s deep powder, the wilds of British Columbia, Tahoe, and beyond.

Starting out with a homage to Burton’s long standing and ever growing history with in snowboarding. Bringing us right back to the humble beginnings of Jake Burton Carpenter (Ride on JAKE!) of Vermont and the exciting journey of where the company, riders and engineering has come today. Starting this movie off with the feels and excitement of reminding us how far snowboarding has come and how much we love it.

Mark McMorris:
“I wanted to do this film because growing up, team movies were what I looked forward to. They have a big impact on the community and industry as a whole. Burton and Red Bull have an incredibly unique team so I truly think it was a no brainer to get us all together for a film. One of the most memorable days was our first day filming of 2025. The most challenging part for me was trying to juggle the Olympic qualifying events as well as film trips. It kept me on my toes.”

At its core, PAVED is part history lesson, part hangout, part backcountry odyssey. Raw and wry, cinematic yet lighthearted, it’s packed with progression and heavy tricks—but what endures is the culture and collective spirit: this crew, these moments, and proof that style means nothing without soul.

A Burton and Red Bull Media House Co-Production directed by Ian Durkin and produced by Pirate Movie Productions, PAVED blends mixed media, photography, and illustration into an unfiltered portrait of snowboarding at its purest—stories of resilience, first-time debuts, and progression on some of the most breathtaking terrain on Earth, plus unreleased footage of Burton’s upcoming winter collection.
