When we talk about community it can be done in many ways. Well Oakley decided not to talk and do, when it comes to their Community Days. Mixing together pro’s, locals, industry legends, creatives and more to come as one for the things we love.
From athlete panels, listening and speaking with riders experiences and their industry knowledge from lived experiences. To making everyone feel as one with mass group rides, Jams and parties for all to enjoy. Oakley has created something special with it’s Community Days event and reminds us of the community we love so much connecting over snowboarding. This years Athlete Panel had 3 Olympians, the Veterans Jamie Anderson and Seb Toots with coming of her Olympic debut; Juliette Pelchat with the voice of Canadian Snowboarding, Craig McMorris. Talking Olympics, and on brand for Community Days how much support they receive from friends and family world wide and Brands like Oakley making their dreams happen from the first to decades down the line like Jamie and Craig.

The beauty about Whistler isn’t just its views, it’s runs… it’s the people who make it. Meeting them in the lift lines, on the chair, from all over the world enjoying being in the mountains together. Community Rides brings both locals, tourists and athletes shredding together as one. Removing the gap between us all when other sports keep their elite separate and brings what we all love at all levels to the focus of the day which is snowboarding with our friends.
Dropping through the Iconic Whistler Blackcomb park with Oakley Athletes Mark McMorris, Rob Roethler, Seb Toots, Craig McMorris, Jamie Anderson, Juliette Pelchat to name a few with the sun popping just for us to float down before some fun Aprés with the crew!

Ending the week with an epic Village rail jam for fun and prizes and to entertain the overlooking patio’s of Longhorns, Blacks Pub and GLC. Crowd was fired to see an event with a mix of their homies, the youth and pro’s throwing down purely for the fun. An insane light set up from Oakley lit the way for the riders to huck in front of the home crowd.
