Red Mountain Resort in Rossland, British Columbia is the oldest resort in western Canada. It is rich with history and culture and it is also one of Canada’s biggest. The 4,200 acres of ride-able terrain provides season-long skiing, snowboarding and touring, cat/heli-skiing and much more.
With 110 runs, six chairlifts, a T-Bar, magic carpet, and even resort cat skiing, it’s sure to be an adventure exploring the entire mountain. Although Red Mountain offers 2,919 feet of vertical elevation, The Mt. Kirkup Snow Cat provides access to approximately 1,600 ft more of vertical elevation. Nearly 200 acres of gladed tree skiing, inclusive of an additional three newly cut runs on the south side of Mt. Kirkup. For only 10$ a trip, this is a deal you want to take advantage of at Red.
The mountain is constantly updating with the new Topping chairlift installed in the 20/21 season. From the top of the new Topping lift, skiers and snowboarders will now have access to 300 more acres of skiable terrain, six new intermediate runs with stellar tree-skiing, “squirrel trails” and “slots” on all facets. Thanks to its south-facing aspect; this new lift now allows access to what can sometimes be some of the best snow on the resort.
The resort has also opened a brand new enchanting experience for your stay. Constructed in 2020, the new ‘Constella Cabins’ offer either a one or two-night stay at the resort.
These eco-friendly cabins located on Red mountain resort offer a private paradise for a fantastic deal. The six cabins and central Clubhouse allow access to Red mountain’s entire resort with a ride-in/ride-out option to ensure you get the first chair to the mountain’s 110 runs. Each place can house up to 5 guests as it has a twin over twin bunk bed and a twin over double bunk bed. Along with a two-piece bathroom, these cabins offer a comfortable place to stay for you and your friends during your trip up to red.
